I got a call from a company claiming to be an arbitrator for Wachovia Bank, stating that they were attempting to seize my assets and sue me for fraud because of an overdraft on a checking account I had with them over 2 1/2 years ago.
I don't owe Wachovia Bank then the lady said it was turned over to Wells Fargo and that there is a lawsuit on me saying I owe over $3000 and that this was back in 2010 and was filed in 2013 she gave me a wrong DL# but called my ss#off I never received anything in all these years and today 8/13/2019 was the first time every talking to these people and they called my son and he gave me the message.

I received a call from a private caller yesterday supposedly from a process server on behalf of Midland Mediations on behalf of Wachovia Bank trying to collect or settle a debt $180 originally which had occurred back on April 2012 to June 2012 which has now ballooned to $380.55. They ( Midland Mediation) offers to settle for $225.

I received a notice of a tax change for 2012 due to Wells Fargo issuing a 1099-C against me on a debt that they acquired, apparently as a result of their take over of Wachovia Bank. A vehicle was repossessed in 1998, included in BK in 2004. The notice was sent out to the wrong address by the IRS Dec. 30, 2013; I didn't receive it until 4/2/14.
I am in the process of selling my house. The title company says there is a $135,000 lien on the property by Wachovia bank in 2002. Within a few days that loan was replaced with a lien for $142,000 (the actual amount of the loan), but the previous lien was never removed, nor was I aware it had ever been placed.
The banks that are known to do that are Wells Fargo (including Wachovia) and Union Bank. I invite answers for other attorneys who know of other financial entities that freeze deposit accounts on filing bankruptcy. I recommend that my clients move their money from Wells/Wachovia/Union Bank to a smaller local bank.
