the bulk of their business (repairing front loaders). We now steer clear of them. We bought the traditional washer and dryer (top loader) and have had zero problems. They don't have all the fancy buttons...but that also means there's less things to break down. Originally, we thought front-loaders were great for the environment.
A leaking washer is a common problem. Washers will leak due to a problem with the water inlet valve that isn't connected properly or just faulty, unfortunately these cannot be repaired and need to be replaced. There are times when the door seal is ripped or cracked and that would be the reason for the leaking washer.
Ok I just fixed my parent's Samsung front loader with ND. It is very simple. ND means "No Drain." It just means that either your hose is plugged or your drain pump is kaput. Check the drain hose and make sure it isn't constricted or plugged. If it is fine, then your drain pump is dead. Usually Samsung machines last 5 years before the Drain Pump ...
Washer would stop spinning, refill with water trying to rebalance the load and then would try to spin again. Huge waste of water and time. My old Samsung washer had a little access panel at the bottom which allowed me to clean the filter. I have young kids with small socks and I've had to clean the filter in the past and ive found socks stuck in the filter. This new Electrolux washer doesn't have this easy access panel to the filter.
My 6.5 year old Samsung washer has been making loud spin cycle sounds lately. This past Tuesday, after a spin cycle, i smelt smoke in the house. I opened the door to my samsung front loader and smoke came pouring out. I have contacted Samsung and got a ticket #. Waiting for a call within the next 2-3 days now.
We have the Top Load Samsung WA45H7000AW/A2 ... bought in August 2016 when we moved in to the house ... (sold the disgusting original builder installed Frigidaire FWS933FS0 for $100) Never had an issue with residual water left inside the drum after use.
