It sounds like you are having a bike problem which a good many people do after gallbladder removal. I also suffered for 10 years doctors telling me I had ibs, also tried the cholesterol powder, it was horrible. Finally after I started researching gallbladder issue versus the ibs issues I found my solution, ox bile supplements!
I'm 10 days post op from keyhole surgery to remove my gallbladder. I read a lot of posts of negatives after surgery so wanted to say how well mine has gone. I was terrified going in as I've never had an operation before, but I'm so thankful it's all done. Went into theatre approx 10:30 am and woke up in recovery at 11:20.
Everyone will be different, 10 weeks on from gallbladder removal and its been a bit of a roller coaster. Was fine after op for a few and on tramadol for approximately three weeks, fading them out after approx 10 days. You will need to rest and take it easy. Don't lift anything heavy. Youneed to heal.
I am doing from day of op up to my recovery stage I am at now. Day of op: I must admit, one of the scariest operations I have ever been booked in for. My surgery took longer than normal, 2 and half hours, due to my gallbladder sadly being quite bad beyond repair. Recovery in hospital was long but I was allowed home the same day.
laproscopic surgery usually involves 3-4, the gallbladder is removed from your belly button incision. Did you have a drain in your stomach? I was converted to open surgery after surgeon tried to do it laproscopically, I have 4 small ones from that, one from my drain and the large one.

Are you still, posting . I wonder if your nausea and ibs have been treated successfully. I am a year post gallbladder removal and the ibs and nausea are worse now. I have recently had gastroenteritis and recovery isnt happening very well. I want to ask gp for something for this, people, say zofran is good.
So sorry to hear you are being messed about. Word of warning for you too, there can be complications if they do the removal when the gallbladder is infected both during the removal procedure then afterwards. Equally, if it's not taken out in a timely fashion then there is a possibility that it can burst and that is no good either.
I'm just a few days post op and experiencing a less than desirable recovery. I'm experiencing the same symptoms I had before the gallbladder removal after I eat anything, and I haven't eaten anything more than graham crackers and smoothies. And my arm joint (the right one) does hurt after I try to eat. The pain also goes down my arm at times.
The stiches were removed after 2 weeks staying in longer than normal becasue of the Easter bank holiday and the nurse reminded me it takes 6 weeks to heal inside. The evening following the removal of stitches I developed bad pains similar to my previous gall bladder attacks.
