Johnny Lozada Correa (born December 21, 1967) is a Puerto Rican singer, actor, host, and television personality. Lozada was a member of Puerto Rican boy band Menudo during its golden years, joining the group in 1980 and staying until early 1984. [1]
During 1981, the group, which by then consisted of René Farrait (14), Johnny Lozada (13), Xavier Serbiá (13), Miguel Cancel (13), and remaining original member Ricky Melendez (13), released "I Want to Be" ("Quiero Ser"). The album would launch Menudo into international stardom.
The album features Ricky Meléndez, Johnny Lozada, Charlie Massó, and new members Ray Reyes, who replaced Xavier Serbiá upon his reaching the age limit, and Roy Rosselló, who replaced Miguel Cancel after Cancel chose to leave the group. [2] This was the first time a member chose to leave before completing his time with the group.
