The Union of Pentecostal Churches was founded in 1924, later renamed to Pentecostal Church of Indonesia. In 1946, a group split from Pentecostal Church of Indonesia, founding Bethel Full Gospel Church. On 5 February 1967 Bethel Full Gospel Church signed a contract of unification with Church of God. [4]

[citation needed] It was created on February 16, 2002, when the Brotherhood of Pentecostal Churches (Broederschap van Pinkstergemeenten) and the Full Gospel Churches of the Netherlands (Volle-Evangeliegemeenten Nederland) merged. The VPE is the Dutch branch of the Assemblies of God. In 2008, it had 22,000 members in 160 churches.
The Pentecostal Ministerial Alliance voted to merge with the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, but the terms of the proposed merger were rejected by that body. Nevertheless, a union between the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ and the PAW was consummated in November 1931. The new body retained the name of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World.
