Bill Knapp's was an American family restaurant chain. It was founded by Clinton B. Knapp (March 13, 1907 – October 15, 1974), in Battle Creek, Michigan, in 1948. The chain operated in Michigan, Ohio, Florida, Illinois and Indiana, with more than 60 locations at its peak. [1]

Dundee is a village in Monroe County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 5,323 at the 2020 census, [3] up from 3,957 in 2010. The village is within Dundee Township and is served by Dundee Community Schools. Settled as early as 1823, Dundee was incorporated as a village in 1855. [6]

Maybee was established as early as 1873 in the southwest part of Exeter Township when the Canada Southern Railway built a railway line through the area. [7] The line was soon transferred to the Detroit, Toledo and Ironton Railroad, which transported manufactured charcoal and other forest products from Maybee to Detroit in the northeast and Ohio to the south.
