Wydad Athletic Club (Arabic: نادي الوداد الرياضي, Arabic pronunciation: [naːdiː‿l.widaːd arrːiyːadˤiː]), commonly shortened to just Wydad AC or Wydad, is a Moroccan sports club based in Casablanca.
Founded in 2002, the Wydad women's team achieved their first major success by winning the Moroccan Professional Championship in the 2006–07 season, just five years after their establishment. The club demonstrated consistent competitiveness, finishing as runners-up in both the league and cup during the 2012–13 season. [ 2 ]
The 2023–24 season was Wydad Athletic Club's 84th season in existence and the club's 68th consecutive season in the top flight of Moroccan football. Wydad participated in this season's edition of the Botola, the Throne Cup, the Champions League, the African Football League and the Arab Club Champions Cup.
