This green algae is actually a precursor to coralline algae. It can be even taken as a sign that your tank is well on it’s way to being a healthy, mature, and fully cycled reef tank. This alga will 100% of the time, be replaced by actual coralline algae in time.
It was neon green and looked like a tree. I thought it was a Kenya Tree coral but wasn't sure. A few google searches made me think that the coral was called a Nephthea coral, but a website or two said Nephthea corals were also known as Kenya Tree corals. To me they look about the same. Community Member. I finally obtained a frag of the super green Kenya tree the other day that I had been eyeing for a while. Anyway, does anyone have one? Is the care any different from brown kenya trees? It is very green and vibrant, definitely the most vibrant color out of anything in my tank.
