11/01/18 · Edited. Just what the title says. What's your favorite gravel ride in Utah? My two, in descending order, are Skyline Dr. from the Bountiful B to Farmington Canyon, and the dirt roads ringing the Cedar Mountain Wilderness Area in the West Desert. Pony Express from Simpson Springs to Tooele Valley is pretty sweet, too.
Panaracer Gravel King SK - directional? Gravel Tires. Am I correct that the tread pattern is exactly the same in both directions? There is no rolling direction arrow on the sidewall. In other words, I can't screw up and mount them backwards... correct? I have these as well, and I see no direction indication, and the tread pattern is the same ...
Carbonda CFR505SL, which is the successor of the previous generation CFR505. The weight of the frame without painting is 980g, and the front fork is about 400g The frame adopts a full inner wiring design and is compatible with FSA specifications. The frame is further lightweight on the basis of the previous generation CFR505, the bottom bracket is changed to T47, and a more exposed seat tube ...
23/03/20. I have bought a set of Spinergy GX wheels and put them into test. The results show that they indeed are more comfy than standard wheels but only on a really bumpy roads. On fast gravel tracks where we encounter a high frequency chatter, they behave exactly the same as my previous wheels. But they are lighter and looks very cool.
After some poking, Lisa from TanTan told me that they have a new frame called GR047. The questions that I asked were, any lightweight frame that does not have PF BB and moderate geometry with internal cable routing. The GR047 seems to have interesting top tube and angled seat post. My main draw, of course, like I asked is the T47 bottom bracket ...
20/03/22. I can see from the forums that Carbonda are well respected in the gravel frame business, as a lot of companies rebrand them etc , but any love for other Brands that do Gravel frames ? Airwolf YFR045, Spcycles SP-G20 and the Chasing wind CW-G-001 , all look to be the exact same frame etc, Hong fu ,Ican and a few others do their own ...
I recently built a "monster grinder" around a Stumpjumper hardtail. I used 46cm Salsa Cowbell bars and the new Shimano 685 levers w/ 785 hydraulic disc brakes and ended up with a 60mm stem to bring things in reach. I's a hoot to ride, somewhere between a gravel and a mtn bike. With Renegade 1.8" tires (440g, 45mm wide) it weighs in at 23 lb ...
If you're lighter weight, you could definitely use it as primarily a road bike with secondary use as gravel. I definitely wouldn't use it with 650b though, the BB is already pretty low, and width is where the issue is with tire clearance, so wider tires won't be the answer. Thanks for the response. The Cannondale site says max tire width is 32c ...
Hi, I’ve enquired about the different Alex Rims wheelsets at a couple LBS and no one can get any info on ordering. I’m in Toronto, Ontario. Can people south of the boarder access these wheels? Basically, I’m looking for pricing and XD driver compatibility on the following: Alex CXD6 Alex Boondocks 5 If anyone has purchased or has info on a shop where I can call for a quote I’d be happy ...
My LBS and Moots customer service say match the Ultegra crank with Ultegra front derailleur and GRX crank with GRX front derailleur if you have GRX rear or clutch Ultegra rear and Ultegra or GRX brifters. This assumes compatible bottom bracket and staying within the rules (directions) for chain length. The OP might be wanting bigger gearing, in ...
