The Grand Forks Riverside Neighborhood Historic District is a 112-acre (45 ha) historic district in Grand Forks, North Dakota that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. The Grand Forks Near Southside Historic District is a 182-acre (74 ha) historic district in Grand Forks, North Dakota that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 2004. [ 1 ] Many of the district's subdivisions were platted in 1878 in anticipation of railroad construction.
The nomination was described in a public hearing of the Grand Forks Historic Preservation Commission in on March 23, 2010. [2] It was listed on the National Register on July 6, 2010, with reference number 10000424. The listed area extends from the southeast corner of the intersection of Gateway Dr and N Columbia Rd in Grand Forks. [3]
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Its second floor was remodeled by architect John W. Ross. [3] The listing is described in its North Dakota Cultural Resources Survey document, [3] and it was covered in a 1981 study of Downtown Grand Forks historical resources. [2]
