Epsom Downs is a Grade 1 racecourse in a hilly area near Epsom in Surrey, England which is used for thoroughbred horse racing. The "Downs" referred to in the name are part of the North Downs . The 2024 Epsom Derby was the 245th annual running of the Derby horse race and took place at Epsom Downs Racecourse on 1 June 2024 at 4.30pm BST.
