Ol' Skool was an American new jack swing and urban R&B group from St. Louis, Missouri that consisted of Jason Little (vocals), Jerome "Pookie" Lane (vocals), Tony Herron (vocals), Curtis Jefferson (vocals, bass) and Bobby Crawford (vocals, drum programming, keyboards).
The album peaked at number 31 on the Billboard 200 and number 7 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The lead single " Chante's Got a Man " (1999) became her first top 10 single on the US Billboard Hot 100, charting at number 10; number 2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and number 34 on the US Dance Club Songs chart.
The album gave Moore another US Top 20 R&B hit with the single "Old School Lovin'". A remake of the Alicia Myers hit "I Want to Thank You," appeared as well as a medley/mash-up of the Deniece Williams song "Free" and the Commodores song "Sail On". "Mood" was included on the soundtrack to the 1994 feature film Beverly Hills Cop III.
