SCOTS has been available online since November 2004, and can be freely searched and browsed. It reached 4.7 million words by 2015. [1]

So far, there have been over 12 printed editions (1920, 1930, 1941, 1949, 1967, 1971, 1973, 1977, 1988, 1993 and 2011) of the dictionary by various publishers.
