The metal side saddle is the most durable and awesome. The ESSTAC / VangComp elastics with velcro backs are significantly more versatile, though. It cannot be overstated how useful it is to be able to store a 7/8 rnd card, loaded, in an AR mag pouch. Many mag pouches allow you to store two per cell.

The Shooters belt 1.75” with inner belt was an excellent performer. The outer belt was stiff enough to support a Safariland extender and ALS for the M9. The inner belt with Velcro liner only served to further stiffen the belt and make it extremely comfortable to run. Most days were 8-10 hours wearing the belt all day.
The enhanced belt has been our issue belt for a while. We’ve beat the shit out of them with no problems. We use adhesive backed Velcro or one wrap on all of our pouches. It helps anchor the outer belt to the inner. Otherwise, some block the Velcro and lessen its ability to stay in place. Esstac Enhanced vs Shooters belt.
