Based on OP’s requirements I think an HSGI style padded belt is probably a little better than a 2 part Velcro setup based on the requirement for easy don/doff. Personally I find taking off and putting back on my Bison belt (or any of the Velcro 2 piece belts I’ve owned) to be more annoying than my HSGI belt.

HSGI works. However, they can fall out. I've been thinking of trying the g-code. But step one is get a plate carrier with a removable front panel so I can switch between Esstacs and whatever I go with. It sucks shooting both ARs and AKs sometimes.

  4. Looking for alternatives to HSGI tacos - AR15.COM

I currently have a battle belt with a double-decker HSGI rifle mag taco and an HSGI pistol mag taco attached to it. LINK I love the ability to use different styles of mags in them. I also really like the ability to save space by double-stacking them on the belt. What I hate is trying to index a mag back into them, especially in the dark.

  6. REVIEW: HSGI Warlord V4 - AR15.COM

    www.ar15.com/forums/Armory/REVIEW-HSGI-Warlord-V4/10-288351

The HSGI warlord is a pals based chest rig. It allows for plenty of room for any type of large or small pouch you would want to put on it. The main feature of all of the versions of the Warlord series is the large built on admin pouch. The admin pouch consists of a slot big enough to carry your radio, elastic to fit a light or multi-tool, and ...

  7. HSGI taco...nylon or polymer? - AR15.COM

    www.ar15.com/forums/Armory/HSGI-taco-nylon-or-polymer-/10-504659

The nylon tacos are easier to get the mags out and not as bulky. The Poly look cooler. It's almost impossible to get a poly taco side by side with a gun and rifle taco, due to. the plastic on the sides. Not the case with the nylon tacos. The ploy tacos are far easier to install on your molle gear.

  9. HSGI vs ATS war belt? - AR15.COM

    www.ar15.com/forums/armory/HSGI_vs_ATS_war_belt_/10-368286

IMHO, there are two things that make the HSGI > ATS. 1) As mentioned above the sure-grip surface is amazing. 2) The HSGI has a stiffener that keep the belt from "folding" under weight. Got an HSGI here. Ran around with it while shooting skeet with friends hiking though the woods, ect and I'm loving this thing.

Padded war belt style when you have to throw over any other belt or clothing that covers a belt. All this in a 1.75" or 2" wide package. Crye is full sized, limits front of belt carry options, and you is more like a cross between a full sized war belt and a police inner outter duty belt that uses velcro and keepers.

Probably going to use an Emdom MM CM Belt and an HSGI Padded Belt with a Safariland SLS Offset for a Glock 23 or Sig P228 in Coyote because its what I have. Plus it should be noted I am left eye dominant on a long gun and will need to set up the belt for a right hand draw on the sidearm and a left hand usage on the carbine.
