Malta is a town in Saratoga County, New York, United States. The town is in the central part of the county and is south of Saratoga Springs . The population was 17,130 as of the 2020 census .
New York State Route 9P (NY 9P) is a state highway in central Saratoga County, New York, in the United States. It is an alternate route off U.S. Route 9 between Malta and Saratoga Springs that connects US 9 to the eastern shore of Saratoga Lake. NY 9P meets NY 423 in the town of Stillwater and Interstate 87 in Saratoga Springs.
Ballston Spa is a village and the county seat of Saratoga County, New York, United States, located southwest of Saratoga Springs.It is part of the Capital Region. [2] The population of the village, named after Rev. Eliphalet Ball, a Congregationalist clergyman and an early settler, [3] [4] was 5,111 at the 2020 census. [5]
The town was formed in 1804 from part of the town of Mexico in Oswego County. At that time the new town was called "Malta", but the name was changed to "Lorraine" in 1808 in order to avoid confusion with the town of Malta in Saratoga County. [4] Part of Lorraine was used to form the town of Worth in 1848.
The membership consists of 65 volunteer men and women who continue to respond to emergencies in the village as well as within the town of Malta and town of Ballston. Additionally, a 1926 Childs fire truck which was purchased from the village of Ballston Spa in 1945 is maintained as a unique parade piece representing their history.

It is located along Bayview Avenue, NY-218, near Storm King Mountain. It was founded in 1901. Siblings Sarah and John Olmsted donated the 21-acre (8 ha) parcel. Campers would take the Hudson River Day Line ferry from the city to Cornwall and then proceed to the camp. In 1966 the New York City Society took a role in operating the camp.
The alignments of NY 118 and NY 100 north of New Croton Reservoir were flipped c. 1939, placing NY 100 on the Croton Reservoir–Croton Falls highway. [16] [17] The resulting overlap between NY 100 and US 202 lasted as late as 1990; [18] however, it was eliminated by 2004 when NY 100 was cut back to end at US 202 in Somers. [19]
