Landgraaf (Dutch: [ˈlɑntxraːf] ⓘ; Limburgish: Lankgraaf [ˈlɑŋkxʀaːf]) [tone?] is a municipality in southeastern Limburg, Netherlands, forming part of the Parkstad Limburg agglomeration. Snow World is the largest indoor ski piste in Europe.
The railway station was renamed Landgraaf in 1986, and the line to Simpelveld closed in 1988. [6] [7] In 1905, mine workers colonies were built in Schaesberg, and the village started to grow. [4] [5] Schaesberg was a separate municipality until 1982, when it merged with Nieuwenhagen and Ubach over Worms to form the new municipality Landgraaf. [8]

This is a list of mayors of Landgraaf, Netherlands. In 1982 the municipality of Landgraaf was created by the fusion of the municipalities of Nieuwenhagen , Schaesberg and Ubach over Worms . Mayors of Dutch municipalities are appointed by the cabinet in the name of the monarch, with advice of the city council.
Pinkpop 2008 was held May 30 – June 1 in the Landgraaf Megaland Park. Pinkpop 2008 had the largest audience of concert attendees to date, with an average of just over 60,000 people arriving each of the three days, prompting the festival organizers to announce that 180,000 people had visited the festival.
