The Goyang International Flower Festival (Korean: 고양 국제 꽃박람회; RR: Goyang Gukje Kkotbangamhoe) is one of the largest flower festivals in South Korea and takes place in the city of Goyang. It attracts many visitors annually.
Goyang International Flower Festival Floricultural industry sprang up in the early 1970s fostering flower culture in Korea. Goyang became one of the most famous cities for its floricultural industry and its flower show grew into a horticultural event representing Korea and a venue for trading among participants at home and from abroad.
It is a three-storey building on a 224,800 m 2 (2,420,000 sq ft) plot of land between Ilsan's central road, Chungangno, and the Han River.It has a total indoor exhibition area of 108,049 m 2 (1,163,030 sq ft), the only exhibition center in Korea which has bigger area than 100,000 m 2 (1,100,000 sq ft).
Ilsandong District (Korean: 일산동구; RR: Ilsandong-gu) is a district in Goyang, South Korea. Ilsan -gu was divided into Ilsandong District, meaning 'east of Ilsan' and Ilsanseo District , meaning 'west', on May 16, 2005.
