The BMW E30 is the second generation of BMW 3 Series, which was produced from 1982 to 1994 and replaced the E21 3 Series. The model range included 2-door saloon (sometimes referred to as a coupé) and convertible body styles, [ 4 ] [ 5 ] as well as being the first 3 Series to be produced in 4-door saloon and wagon/estate body styles.
The series consists of U.S.-spec BMW E30 325i coupes and sedans, sold between 1984 and 1991. All cars in the series must use the BMW M20B25 engine. Just before BMW's sale of Rover in 2000, and following a facelift, the model was renamed and sold as the Rover 25, and the MG ZR was based on the Rover 25 with mechanical changes to the suspension. Production ceased in 2005 when MG Rover went into administration .
