It was considered the city's first skyscraper, built in 1897-1898 [ 2 ][ 3 ] and designed by Daniel Burnham 's architectural firm. [ 4 ] It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Rhodes Tower is the tallest building in Columbus and the fifth tallest in Ohio. The tower is named for James A.
