Viola sororia (/ v aɪ ˈ oʊ l ə s ə ˈ r ɔːr i ə / vy-OH-lə sə-ROR-ee-ə), known commonly as the common blue violet, is a short-stemmed herbaceous perennial plant native to eastern North America.
