Tara Devi Temple : 11 km (6.8 mi) from the Shimla bus-stand. Tara Devi hill has a temple dedicated to the goddess of stars on top of the hill. There is a military Dairy Town here as well as the headquarters of Bharat Scouts and Guides. Jutogh: Located 8 km (5.0 mi) centre, this army cantonment is near Tutu, an important suburb of Shimla city.

The Ridge is the hub of all cultural activities of Shimla. It is situated along the Mall Road , which is the famous shopping center of Shimla. Most major places of Shimla like Sanjauli Snowdown ( IGMC ), Mall Road , Jakhu Temple , Oakover , Kali Bari , Annadale , etc. are connected through the Ridge.
Kufri is situated near Shimla. Kufri sees the annual sports winter festival in February. Adventure activities like skiing and tobogganing. Himalayan Nature Park is situated just outside the city. Chharabra is near Kufri. It is famous for its natural beauty and Kalyani helipad. Mashobra is near Shimla. Craignano Park here is a popular spot.

Thirteen percent of Sri Lanka's land surface has been designated as Wildlife Protected Areas (WLPAs), which at present exceed a total area of 8,500 km 2 (3,282 sq mi). [32] Approximately 7% of the area is national parks, the areas allowed for the public to see and study wildlife. Sri Lanka's national parks have become popular tourist destinations.
