The Nevada City Downtown Historic District is a 16-acre (6.5 ha) historic district in Nevada City within the U.S. state of California. Located in Nevada County, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. It dates from 1917, with examples of Moderne and Italianate architecture. [2] The period of significance is 1856–1917.

The Lyon County Courthouse in Yerington, Nevada is a courthouse which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It currently serves as a courthouse for Lyon County, Nevada. It was designed by Nevada architect Frederick DeLongchamps in Beaux Arts style and was built during 1911–12. It was extended in 1936.

Lyon County and Churchill County are sometimes also referred to as part of Western Nevada. [ 1 ] The region is the second most populous in the state (the first being Southern Nevada containing the Las Vegas Valley ) with between 530,000 and 615,000 residents, depending on whether Lyon and Churchill counties are included.
