Veeraswamy Ravichandran (born 30 May 1961), known mononymously as Ravichandran, is an Indian actor, director, producer, music director, lyricist and editor working predominantly in Kannada cinema. The son of film producer N. Veeraswamy , he continues to produce and distribute films under his father's production house, Sri Eswari Productions. [ 4 ]
Premaloka marked the directorial debut of V. Ravichandran. The film was supposed to be produced by K. C. N. Chandru who later backed out due to the film's high budget and high number of songs hence Ravichandran himself produced it. [7] For the lead actress, Ravichandran rejected 52 girls before choosing Juhi Chawla.
Ranadheera (Kannada: ರಣಧೀರ) is a 1988 Indian Kannada-language musical romantic action film directed by V. Ravichandran and produced by N. Veeraswamy under Eshwari Productions. The film, an adaptation of 1983 Hindi film Hero, stars V. Ravichandran and Khushbu Sundar, alongside Anant Nag, Lokesh, Sudheer and Jai Jagadish. [1]
Hamsalekha wrote the lyrics and composed all the songs in the film. The album has eight soundtracks. [6] Ravichandran adopted a different strategy to release the songs when anyone calls his office through phone, the songs from the film would be played on the phone as he wanted people to listen to the songs before buying the soundtrack.
Sipayi is a 1996 Kannada-language action film, directed and produced by V. Ravichandran. The film stars Ravichandran and Soundarya in lead roles with Chiranjeevi appearing in an extended cameo. Music and lyrics were composed by Hamsalekha. The movie was later dubbed in Telugu as Major, and released on 5 December 1998. It was also dubbed in Tamil.
Kanasugara (transl. Dreamer) is a 2001 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film directed by Karan. Film stars V. Ravichandran and Prema in lead roles and Shashikumar in guest appearance. Kanasugara is a remake of 1998 Tamil film Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen. Music is composed by Rajesh Ramanath.
Bannada Gejje is a 1990 Indian Kannada-language film written and directed by Rajendra Singh Babu starring Ravichandran and Amala. The music is scored by Hamsalekha. The supporting cast features Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Kalyan Kumar, Suresh Heblikar, Amjad Khan and Devaraj. The film was simultaneously shot in Telugu as Prema Yuddham. [1]
The audio comprises total 4 songs out of which 3 songs are composed and written by V. Manohar and one song is composed and written by V. Ravichandran. The audio launch took place at a Bangalore hotel in September 2010. Actor turned producer Raghavendra Rajkumar released the audio in the presence of entire film team. [1]
