The ambassador of Malaysia to the United States of America is the head of Malaysia's diplomatic mission to the United States. The position has the rank and status of an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary and is based in the Embassy of Malaysia, Washington, D.C.

It initially had missions in London, Canberra, New Delhi, Tokyo, Bangkok, and Washington, growing to fourteen missions in 1963, 21 missions in 1965 and 106 missions by 2008. In those early days, the Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the UN in New York also doubled up as the Embassy of Malaysia to the United States.
