Louis M. Pearce Jr. (February 17, 1917 – December 26, 2012) was an American businessman and rancher known for leading the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Pearce attended the University of Texas at Austin from 1936 to 1939 where he majored in business administration.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is the largest livestock exhibition and rodeo in the world. It includes one of the richest regular-season professional rodeo events. It has been held at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, since 2003, with the exception of 2021 due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic .
Camarillo is one of few women who have co-announced the major rodeo, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She teaches students barrel racing through clinics and many types of media and has her own product line of saddle and tack products. She holds barrel racing events every year. [1] She was also a judge for the Miss Rodeo America pageant. [6]
Induction into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame is the highest honor for rodeo contestants participating in the PRCA today. [1] Contestants are honored in several categories on a yearly basis. [ 1 ] The hall opened its doors in 1979. [ 2 ]

George Strait Jr., who is a graduate of Texas A&M, competed as a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association team-roping competitor. [67] Strait was able to watch his son compete at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in 2006 shortly before taking the stage for his own performance. [68]
