ApologetiX is an American Christian parody band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The band was founded in 1990, and since then, has played in almost all 50 states, [ 1 ] and as of 2024 has released 75 studio albums, [ 2 ] and built up a fan club that includes over 65,000 people. [ 1 ]

ApologetiX, an American Christian parody band, released the song "We're Not Going To Canaan" on their 2014 release Loaded 45's. Spanish heavy metal band Gigatrón released a version of this song with different Spanish lyrics titled "Heavy hasta la muerte", [ 17 ] as a parody of being a true metal fan.
Aside from Yankovic, five other parody versions of the song were recorded and released: "Put the Cheese Away (Keep It Refrigerated)" by Joe and the Chicken Heads (1995), "Come Out and Pray" by ApologetiX (1997), "Wrong Foot Amputated" by Bob Rivers, "Get Them Immigrated" by Manic Hispanic (2001) and "Keep Her Penetrated" by Blowfly (2006).
