The owner, Giuseppe Cappelletti, was an herbalist and apothecarist. After World War I, he moved the shop to the Piazza di Fiera . Cappelletti had no children, and so he passed the business to his brother's son Ferrante. Ferrante's son Gianpaolo later took over, and died in 2001. His children Luigi and Maddalena Cappelletti own the business today.

Gino Raymond Michael Cappelletti (March 26, 1934 – May 12, 2022) was an American professional football player. He played college football for the Minnesota Golden Gophers and was an All-Star in the American Football League (AFL) for the Boston Patriots , [ 1 ] winning the 1964 AFL Most Valuable Player Award . [ 2 ]
He is well known among bridge players as the inventor of the Cappelletti convention. Cappelletti was an American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) Grand Life Master with more than 24,000 masterpoints. He won a bronze medal in the 1974 World Mixed Teams. Cappelletti also authored the book 100 Bridge Problems: Using Poker Tactics in Contract Bridge. [9]
