Columbia, formerly Wright's Ferry, is a borough (town) in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States.As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 10,222. [3] It is 28 miles (45 km) southeast of Harrisburg, on the east (left) bank of the Susquehanna River, across from Wrightsville and York County and just south of U.S. Route 30.
The mansion was converted into a country inn in 1981 by Lancaster County culinary celebrity Betty Groff along with her husband Abe. The Groff's sold the inn in 1996. The summer kitchen sits 15 feet (4.6 m) north of the mansion. The wood-frame structure with a slate was expanded to include an office and converted to owner's quarters in the 1980s.
Witmer's Tavern, is an historic structure that is located in East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, just east of U.S. 30 on Old Philadelphia Pike. This building known as Witmer's Tavern should not be confused with the other Witmer's Tavern more commonly known as the Conestoga Restaurant or Conestoga Inn that is located on Route 462 at Bridgeport just east of Lancaster City.
