In 1992, the Swedish crossover band Clawfinger had a hit single with the title "Nigger". The lyrics criticized the self-derogatory nature of that word's usage by black people. The controversial song also appeared on their first album Deaf Dumb Blind, in 1993 and on their demo from 1990.
Bård Torstensen (born 13 September 1961) is a Norwegian guitarist and record producer, [1] best known as a founder and longtime member of the rap metal band Clawfinger. [ 2 ] Torstensen also plays guitar in the ice skate - country band Melkesyra [ 3 ] and the jazz / metal band Okavango, [ 4 ] both of which are from his home town.
