Muskegon Heights High School is the only high school in the Muskegon Heights Public School Academy System (MHPSAS). The high school is known for its strong tradition in both athletics and the band program. In February 2013, Mosaica was investigated for the illegal employment of uncertified teachers in its schools in Muskegon Heights.
In September 2007, the arbitrator ruled Lafayette Academy would pay Mosaica $100,000 for early termination of the contract and Mosaica would return $350,000 in fees to the school. [15] In 2009, Mosaica fired one school administrator and two teachers at Howard Road Academy, a charter school managed by the organization. [16]

The team was crowned Class B state champions in 1993 after a win over Muskegon Heights, 69–52. Two Class C basketball state championships were won in March 2004 against Charlevoix, 63-52 and in March 2006 after defeating Berrien Springs, 57–52.
