Chickasaw County is a county located in the U.S. state of Mississippi. As of the 2020 census , the population was 17,106. [ 1 ] Its county seats are Houston and Okolona . [ 2 ]

The first two counties, Adams County and Pickering County (renamed Jefferson County later), were established in 1799 in the Mississippi Territory.
