The "Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary" (Macedonian: Македонска Православна Kатедрала Успение на Пресвета Богородица), also known as "St. Mary" (Macedonian: Пресвета Богородица), is a Macedonian Orthodox Church located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio (Columbus area).
The Macedonian Orthodox Church (MOC) created its first diocese in 1967 for Macedonian diaspora communities that covered Canada, the United States, Australia and New Zealand. [2] By 1981, the MOC split the diocese into two parts creating a diocese for Australia and New Zealand and another diocese for Canada and the United States.

The Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary (Macedonian: Македонска Православна Kатедрала Успение на Пресвета Богородица), also known as "St. Mary" (Macedonian: Пресвета Богородица), is a Macedonian Orthodox Church located in Sterling Heights, Michigan (Detroit area).
The church serves a community of approximately 4,000 Macedonian-Americans within Western New York, as well as portions of Western Pennsylvania (shared by the St. Nicholas Parish in Green, OH). It is the host to the oldest annual Macedonian Orthodox Church festival which has been held every second weekend of July since 1991.
The church was consecrated by Bishop Hartley on December 12, 1909. The stained glass windows were created in Munich, Germany. In 1945 St. Mary's transferred to the newly established Diocese of Steubenville. Pope Francis decreed on June 13, 2013 that St. Mary's Church was elevated to the status of a minor basilica. [3]
