Pike County is a county located in the U.S. state of Arkansas.As of the 2020 census, the population was 10,171. [1] The county seat is Murfreesboro. [2] Pike County is Arkansas's 25th county, formed on November 1, 1833, and named for Lieutenant Zebulon Pike, the explorer for whom Pikes Peak is named.
The Arkansas General Assembly established the Arkansas History Commission through the Act of 1905 signed by Governor Jeff Davis on April 27. [2] Aligned with Department of Parks and Tourism since 1971, it was transferred to the Department of Arkansas Heritage on July 1, 2016, and renamed Arkansas State Archives.
Antoine's grave is located within the bounds of the town cemetery, although the marker has disappeared over time. Antoine is located on Arkansas Highway 26 between Murfreesboro and Arkadelphia in the southeastern section of Pike County. Antoine was one of the first settlements in what is now Pike County.

Glen Travis Campbell was born on April 22, 1936, in Billstown, a tiny community near Delight in Pike County, Arkansas, to John Wesley Campbell (a sharecropper) and Carrie Dell (née Stone) Campbell.
