Requiem is a six-part British television drama serial, written and created by Kris Mrksa and directed by Mahalia Belo. It is a co-production between New Pictures for the BBC and Netflix . [ 1 ] It first broadcast on BBC One on 2 February 2018, with all six episodes being released via BBC iPlayer on the same day.
On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 19% of 16 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 3.8/10. [8] Simon Abrams, writing for RogerEbert.com, gave it 2 1/2 stars out of 4, concluding "I don't think you can really love The Requin based on its modest strengths, but there's enough here to make 89 minutes move a little faster."
Hubert "Cubby" Selby Jr. [1] (July 23, 1928 – April 26, 2004) was an American writer. Two of his novels, Last Exit to Brooklyn (1964) and Requiem for a Dream (1978), explore worlds in the New York area and were adapted as films, both of which he appeared in.
Featuring a budget of 1,500 million pesetas, [3] Réquiem por Granada was a co-production of Aspa Films, Midega Films, TVE, RAI 1 and Taurus Film. [2] The series was directed by Vicente Escrivá, whereas the score was composed by Antón García Abril. [4] The screenplay was written by Escrivá together with Manuel Matji .
On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 84% based on 55 reviews. The website's critics consensus reads: "A supernatural horror story grounded in real-world trauma, The Power marks writer-director Corinna Faith as an emerging talent to watch."
