A common size for cells inside cordless tool battery packs. This size is also used in radio-controlled scale vehicle battery packs and some Soviet multimeters. 1 ⁄ 2-, 4 ⁄ 5 - and 5 ⁄ 4-sub-C sizes (differing in length) are also available. Soviet 332 type can be replaced with R10 (#4, 927, BF, U8) or 1.5 V elements from 3 V 2xLR10 packs ...

Terminated with spring terminals. 4LR25-2: 4: L: R: 25: 2: An alkaline lantern battery, consisting of 2 parallel strings of 4 round "size 25" cells in series 6F22: 6: F: 22: A zinc-carbon rectangular battery, consisting of 6 flat "size 22" cells. Equivalent to a PP3 ...
Under certain conditions, some battery chemistries are at risk of thermal runaway, leading to cell rupture or combustion. As thermal runaway is determined not only by cell chemistry but also cell size, cell design and charge, only the worst-case values are reflected here. [64]
As of June 2022, the highest peer reviewed and published results for an electric car battery is an energy density 350 W⋅h/kg, which has achieved 500 cycles with less than 20% capacity fade. [1] This compares to supercapacitors that are typically rated between 3 and 10 W⋅h/kg, [ 2 ] with the best commercially available supercapacitors as ...

This article is about sizes, not voltages. Depending on chemistry an AA-size battery could be rated anywhere from 1.2 to 3.7 volts; it would be tedious and repetitive to give all the permutations for each size, plus I'm not sure that every size is made in every chemistry. --Wtshymanski 14:29, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
An N battery (or N cell) is a standard size of dry-cell battery. An N battery is cylindrical with electrical contacts on each end; the positive end has a bump on the top. The battery has a length of 30.2 mm (1.19 in) and a diameter of 12.0 mm (0.47 in), and is approximately three-fifths the length of a AA battery.
An AA-sized alkaline battery might have an effective capacity of 3000 mAh at low drain, but at a load of 1 ampere, which is common for digital cameras, the capacity could be as little as 700 mAh. [12] The voltage of the battery declines steadily during use, so the total usable capacity depends on the cutoff voltage of the application.
