Paul Gustave Louis Christophe Doré (UK: / ˈ d ɔːr eɪ / DOR-ay, US: / d ɔː ˈ r eɪ / dor-AY, French: [ɡystav dɔʁe]; 6 January 1832 – 23 January 1883) was a French printmaker, illustrator, painter, comics artist, caricaturist, and sculptor.
Le Poème de la Vigne is an 11 foot tall [1] sculpture by Gustave Doré, from 1878. It was originally created for the Paris World's Fair , in 1878. It is currently installed in San Francisco 's Golden Gate Park , in the U.S. state of California .
