The group was formed in 1976 by teenage friends Barry Stern (drums/vocals), Kevin Michael Rasofsky, aka Kevin Michael, (guitar/vocals), and Calvin "Willis" Humphrey (bass), soon to be joined by second guitarist Ken Black.
