Science Hill is an area of the Yale University campus primarily devoted to physical and biological sciences. It is located in the Prospect Hill neighborhood of New Haven, Connecticut. Originally a 36-acre residential estate known as Sachem's Wood, it was purchased by Yale in 1910 as a land bank.
The building was formerly used as an education center for the nearby Letchworth Village mental institution. In the 1970s it transitioned to a high school for the public following an expansion of the Willowbrook State School in Staten Island, New York. Today, it is the only high school in the North Rockland Central School District.
The current building was erected in 1927, on what was formerly the High Point city fair grounds, and is the oldest high school in Guilford County. The school building is an example of Gothic architecture, with three floors and four towers. Charles F. Thomlinson was the Chairman of the school board when High Point High School was built.
