The game is simply hung at that point, and you can wait forever, and it will not clear and the game resume. The only way to clear it is quit and restart the game.

With MC Command Center, you are able to undo death! To begin with, make sure to turn on Testing Cheats. Secondly, shift + Click the ghost and Add to Family. Thirdly, click on the Sim and choose MC Command Center. Fourthly, you’ll then need to choose Sim Commands. Finally, choose Maintain Sim.
Basically, what I noticed was that you have a "game mods" folder, and if I understand correctly you have SoL sitting in that folder.
