  4. Does WoodMizer have a yearly service route - The Forestry Forum

    www.forestryforum.com/board/index.php?topic=78606.0

The WM service route is not necessarily designed for repairs as such because breakdowns are not scheduled. :-\ That being said, it is nice to have a fully trained technician with a truck loaded with parts to give your sawmill a look-see. I try to schedule every three years, and do an "hourly rate" job. My invoice with parts seldom reaches $300.

  7. Jonsered 2077, how was it? - The Forestry Forum

    www.forestryforum.com/board/index.php?topic=72659.0

February 05, 2014, 05:49:17 PM. The Jonsered 2077 was also sold as the Partner P7700 and Poulan Pro 475. Close to 5.4hp. Its an older design and it wont cut as fast as the newer saws. The newer Jonsered 2171 is smaller and will out cut it. The 2077 was and still is a good saw. Run it and enjoy it.

I agree, I wouldn't expect perfectly flat boards, I would expect some twist and bow when stacking completely unconstrained.

Wondering what all you wood-mizer owners run your blade tension at ? When we first got our mill the tech at wood-mizer said to run it at 2500 but later when we had the mill at wood-mizer for service there was a guy from the Indiana office that told us anywhere up to max was good, the higher the better.
