Melstacorp PLC was originally formed as Beruwala Distillery (Private) Limited in 1995. Distilleries Company of Sri Lanka (DCSL) acquired the Company and renamed it Melstacorp Limited in order to subsequently make it the holding Company of the then DCSL group.
