Seven Oaks Reservoir is a reservoir on the Santa Ana River in San Bernardino County, California, about 8 miles (13 km) northeast of the city of Redlands.The reservoir is formed by Seven Oaks Dam, which was completed in 1999.

It rises near the community of Woodlands, and flows north into Baldwin Lake in the eastern Big Bear Valley. From there it flows west past the town of town of Big Bear City and the city of Big Bear Lake into Bear Valley, where since 1912 it has been impounded by a dam to form Big Bear Lake reservoir.
The lake is at a surface elevation of 6,752 feet (2,058 m). Its deepest point it can be approximately 25 feet (7.6 m). At its widest, the lake is more than 1 mile (1.6 km) across. It is in the headwaters watershed of the Santa Ana River. The terrain surrounding the lakebed supports montane chaparral and pinyon–juniper woodland habitats. [1]

Seven Oaks is situated in the Santa Ana River Canyon, roughly halfway between the confluence of Bear Creek and the Santa Ana to the west, and the headwaters of the Santa Ana below Sugarloaf Mountain to the east. [4] It sits four miles from the Highway 38, and may be reached from Glass Road, Forest Road and Seven Oaks Road.

About 34 miles (55 km) long, it drains most of the northern Santa Ana Mountains and is a tributary to the Santa Ana River. It is one of the longest watercourses entirely within the county. [ 2 ] The creek shares its name with Santiago Peak , at 5,687 ft (1,733 m) the highest point in Orange County, on whose slopes its headwaters rise.
