The Oregon Files is a series of novels written by author Clive Cussler and several co-authors. Craig Dirgo was a co-writer for the first two titles, Jack Du Brul was a co-writer for the next seven titles, Boyd Morrison took over as co-writer starting with book 10, and Mike Maden writes the 16th, 17th, and 18th book after Clive's passing.
Kirkus Reviews liked this novel, saying, "Cussler’s plots sometime slip outside of the box of believability, but he’s always entertaining." [4] The Daily Courier, of Prescott, Arizona, gave another favorable review of this book, saying, "Fans of this series expect nothing less, and “The Romanov Ransom” doesn’t disappoint."

Serpent is the first book in the NUMA Files series of books co-written by best-selling author Clive Cussler and veteran of mystery [1] books Paul Kemprecos, and was published in 1999. The main character of this series is Kurt Austin and Joe Zavala. [2]
