I have a hefty 10 lb (RWS) Diana 54 22 cal springer air rifle. It outshoots many stock 22LR's at 50 yards. Really BORING at 25 yards which is my backyard range. Stock T6 trigger is awesome and adjustable, I have it set to a hair like 1.5 lb pull. No perceived recoil like other springer's as it rides on a rail system.
I hate to plug a non-German air rifle but the Ruger Impact Max selling for $140 at WalMart is getting good reviews on Gateway To Airguns (GTA). This is the nitrogen piston model, so it will shoot more like a tuned wound wire spring gun. Has a bit heavy trigger but guys on the GTA have come up with a decent, reliable spring swap for that.

When I finally got it back working, I found that it wasn't as accurate as I'd like a 22 rifle to be. So I sold it and bought a used 77/22. So, if you MUST buy a 10/22, don't buy it from Wal*Mart. (for the above and other reasons too) I'd recommend a used 77/22 if you want to stay Ruger, or a bolt-action, tube-fed, Marlin if 77/22s are out of ...
Re: Walmart air rifles « Reply #17 on: November 01, 2017, 10:06:38 PM » Uncle bought the Swiss arms TG-1, A few days ago as he was loading it a pellet fell down into the stock, It bent the spring position lock (the part that hold the spring back while cocked) so it doesn't cock anymore.

After some forum searching, the "Walmart Special" guns seem to be configured differently than mine. I assume mine would still be considered a WS.

I set up a 25 yard pellet gun range in my basement and used a heavy cardboard box filled with 5 layers of carpet squares and a metal "drip pan" just in case a pellet went all the ...
The 3x9 centerpoint (54 $) scope is not nearly as sharp and clear and i do not consider it a bargain. In a side by side comparison with a Nikon prostaff BDC 3x9 50 mm scope (230 $) the 4x16 Centerpoints are brighter and clearer. They are designed for air rifles and are tough as nails.
