Bhitarkanika National Park is a 145 km 2 (56 sq mi) national park in northeast Kendrapara district in Odisha in eastern India. It was designated on 16 September 1998 and obtained the status of a Ramsar site on 19 August 2002. The area is also been designated as the second Ramsar site of the State after the Chilika Lake.
Falling Water State Park is open for year-round recreation including camping, fishing, hiking and swimming. [12] The park is noted for hosting campfire circles. Park rangers give interpretive talks at the circles and present a slide show. The main campground is on one of the highest hills in Florida at 324 feet (99 m). [12]

The Gahirmatha Marine Wildlife Sanctuary, which bounds the Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary to the east, was created in September 1997, and encompasses Gahirmatha Beach and an adjacent portion of the Bay of Bengal.
On 19 August 2024 the Florida Department of Environmental Protection announced plans [21] to build golf courses and 350-room lodges on state park lands. [22]In statements to the Tampa Bay Times and in posts to social media, the agency claimed that the construction of a golf course on vulnerable scrub habitat will be done in a way to "minimize habitat impacts".
A prospective campground must meet certain standards before being considered as a potential Jellystone Park location. Each campground is required to have a minimum of 100 campsites and 4 full-service cabins, a commercial swimming pool that is at least 20 feet by 50 feet, first class restroom facilities, a laundry facility and a retail store.
Pattamundai and Rajnagar are 20 km apart and are connected by the MDR- 16. Pattamundai- Rajnagar Road is the main road route to and in the Bhitarkanika National Park Gupti Gate. Pattamundai is the only center where tourists stop by to collect food & drinks and have meals during their onward visit to Bhitarkanika National Park.
