While the Honda CH80 (found in Elite 80s) specs were similar to what is rumored to be the original GY6, there is a major difference: engine orientation.
It was the only plant located in southwestern Ontario and was located closer to GM headquarters in Detroit than GM Canada headquarters in Oshawa.
