Jmol is written in the programming language Java, so it can run on different operating systems: Windows, macOS, Linux, and Unix, as long as they have Java installed. It is free and open-source software released under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) version 2.0.
To display molecules with Jmol, your browser needs to be Java enabled. Two examples of Jmol images in a wiki are here and here. These use Jmol to show medium sized molecules with buttons to control the rotation of the molecules. The right mouse button opens a Jmol menu while the left mouse button can be used to move the image.
JMOL is similar to judgment on the pleadings and summary judgment, all of which test the factual sufficiency of a claim. [4] Judgment on the pleadings is a motion made after pleading and before discovery ; summary judgment happens after discovery and before trial; JMOL occurs during trial.
Jmol: Free open-source: Java (applet or standalone program) Transpiled HTML5/JavaScript for browser [10] [self-published source?] Supports advanced capabilities such as loading multiple molecules with independent movement, surfaces and molecular orbitals, cavity visualization, crystal symmetry MDL Chime: Proprietary, free use noncommercial
Example of Jmol coloring. The following table shows colors assigned to each element by some popular software products. Column C is the original assignment by Corey and Pauling. [3] Column K is that of Koltun's patent. [4] Column J is the color scheme used by the molecular visualizer Jmol. [9]
Renewed JMOL is decided after a jury has returned its verdict, and is a motion to have that verdict altered. In US federal courts this procedure has replaced judgment notwithstanding the verdict (JNOV) through Rule 50 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. [1] Renewed JMOL can only be raised before a jury begins deliberations.
What is the status of enabiling Jmol in Wikipedia? A suggestion has been made here to include Jmol protein structures in Gene Wiki pages. If additional lobbying support for bringing Jmol to Wikipedia would help, perhaps the WP:MCB project could provide some. Cheers. Boghog 09:02, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
Journal of Molecular Structure is a scientific journal published by Elsevier through ScienceDirect since 1968. It specializes in research on the structural properties of molecules, emphasizing experimental and computational studies in fields like chemistry, physics, and materials science.
