1983–1990 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer 2-door 1985 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer 2-door, rear view. Base power was provided by GM's 2.0-liter OHV gasoline inline four-cylinder engine, producing up to 83 horsepower (62 kW). A 2.8-liter 110 hp (82 kW) V6 was offered as an option (coincidentally, this engine was also used in Jeep's competing Cherokee until 1987).
There are 2 versions of "ZQ8" wheels - 1996-2000 (also standard on 1996-1998 SS trucks), similar in design to 3rd generation Camaro wheels, and 2001-2003 (also used on Blazer Xtremes from 2004 to 2005), which bear a resemblance to an IROC Z28 wheel.
The Chevrolet S-10 is a compact pickup truck produced by Chevrolet.It was the first domestically-built compact pickup of the big three American automakers. When it was first introduced as a "quarter-ton pickup" in 1981 for the 1982 model year, the GMC version was known as the S-15 and later renamed the GMC Sonoma.
The LG3 was used in Chevrolet S-10 and GMC Sonoma pickups and was only produced for 2003. The LU3 was used in the Chevrolet and GMC full-size trucks and vans, the Chevrolet Astro and GMC Safari vans, and the Chevrolet S-10 Blazer and GMC S-15 Jimmy. The LG3 was rated at 180 hp (134 kW) and 245 lb⋅ft (332 N⋅m) of torque.
2004 - ZR2 available on Blazer and Tracker models. For the first time, the ZR2 is offered in 2WD. GM discontinues Tracker including ZR2 model. 2005 - This is the last year for the ZR2 Blazer (USA) and Jimmy (Canada) GM discontinues all remaining S-Series models. RPO ZR2 is phased out. 2017 - GM reintroduces the ZR2 option on the Chevrolet Colorado.
This engine was used in the Chevrolet S-10 and GMC S-15 compact pickup trucks and their Blazer and Jimmy counterparts until 1985, when it was replaced by the 2.5-liter Tech IV engine. 2002–2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, with modification to meet Japanese standards. The first-generation TrailBlazer is based on a truck platform officially known as GMT360, with all models having four-wheel-drive layout as an option with both automatic engagement and the more traditional "Auto," "2-High," "4-High," and "4-Low" gearings, except the SS model which features an all-wheel-drive system.
This was so named because it began with Chevrolet's V8 engines.
