Andy Capp is a British comic strip created by cartoonist Reg Smythe, seen in the Daily Mirror and the Sunday Mirror newspapers since 5 August 1957. Originally a single-panel cartoon , it was later expanded to four panels.
Originally commissioned for the Mirror's northern edition, Andy Capp was soon appearing in all editions nationwide. The first collection of Andy Capp cartoons was published in 1958. Buster Capp is a British comic strip series which debuted on 28 May 1960 in the magazine Buster and ran until January 2000. The character was the mascot of the magazine too. The series is a spin-off of Andy Capp, starring Andy's young son Buster, despite not being drawn by the original artist of that comic, Reg Smythe.

Chalky was a British comic book character from Cor!!, and from 22 June 1974 when the publications were merged, Buster, both published by IPC. [1] Chalky was created and first drawn by Terry Bave in the 24 July 1971 issue of Cor!!. He was more regularly drawn by Dick Millington and Gordon Hill. [2]
